Slipstream
A real wind tunnel that runs on your graphics card, in the browser

Slipstream is a 2D virtual wind tunnel built on a lattice Boltzmann fluid solver written as WebGL2 shaders. Pick a cylinder, an aerofoil, an F1 car or drop in any picture, then watch the flow develop and read off live drag, lift and Reynolds numbers. It is plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no framework and no build step.
Highlights
- D2Q9 lattice Boltzmann solver running entirely on the GPU via WebGL2
- Turbulence model keeps every dial setting stable, even at high wind speed
- Live drag, lift and Strouhal numbers, checked against textbook values
- Over 25 presets, a freehand draw tool and drag-and-drop image obstacles
- Vorticity, speed, pressure and smoke views, with a CPU fallback
