Frequently asked questions

Booking and payment

How do I book a trip?

You can book online through this website, by WhatsApp or phone with Sally on +34 657 346 445 or Julie on +34 624 993 566, or in person at either of our offices.

When you contact us please give us the name of the trip, the number of people, your name, your pick-up point and a contact number.

Is my place confirmed as soon as I reserve it?

No. Places can be reserved in advance for any trip, concert or mini break, but reserved places are not secured until payment has been made in full and we have issued a valid ticket.

If the trip is almost full we will tell you that reserved places need to be paid. If no payment is received, your places will be given to people who have paid in full.

I booked online in the evening. When will I hear from you?

Trips booked via the website out of office hours are confirmed the next working day, and e-tickets are sent once payment is verified.

What payment methods do you accept?

Both the Condado and Camposol offices accept cash or card. On card transactions a card fee of 3.5% may be added to cover the charge we are billed for the card service, and we will always tell you the final cost before taking payment.

Online, card payments are processed through our secure payment system. All prices are stated in euros and include IVA unless stated otherwise.

Do I have to pay the whole amount when I book a mini break?

Mini breaks take a deposit per person at the time of booking to secure your place and your hotel room, and then the balance is due by a stated date. The deposit and balance date are shown on each trip page.

For concerts and other ticketed events, full payment is required when booking so that we can secure your entrance ticket.

Pick-ups and itineraries

Where do you pick up from?

Our pick-up points are Puerto de Mazarrón (bus station), Bolnuevo (bus stop by the pharmacy), Mazarrón Country Club (Spar supermarket roundabout), Camposol sectors A, B, C and D, and Condado de Alhama (bus stop by the pharmacy).

We can also pick up at HDA, subject to a minimum of 10 bookings.

How does the HDA pick-up work?

We only ask for payment for HDA places if the minimum number of bookings is 10 or more.

If, after payment, cancellations bring the number below 10, we will not refund the person cancelling, because the coach will not be cancelled and we will not let the other paying customers down.

When will I know my pick-up time?

Itineraries are sent to customers approximately 1 to 2 days before the trip, once pick-up times are confirmed.

We cannot confirm pick-up times until then. If you ask when booking we will give you approximate times, but at that point they are not confirmed and the final timings may be different.

Please do not guess your pick-up time. If you guess, it is not what is in the itinerary and you miss the coach, we cannot refund you.

In what order are drop-offs made on the way home?

On all trips the outbound pick-ups are listed in order on the itinerary. On the return journey the drop-offs are done in reverse order, so the last pick-up is the first drop-off.

Children, tickets and the Trips & Giggles Club

What ages count as a child ticket?

On most trips the child price is for children aged 4 to 12 years. On the Alhama market trip and the port line bus the child price is for ages 3 to 12, and on the port bus under 3s travel free.

The exact ages are always shown on the price table of each trip.

Will I be asked for proof of my child's age?

We have the right to ask the age of any child when a venue or event specifies age requirements. All events and venues can request proof of age for any child who appears to be older or younger than the child ticket age limit.

If a child ticket is bought and the child is outside the required age bracket, the venue may ask for the difference up to the adult price at the entrance, or refuse entry if the child is too young. We cannot be held responsible for that.

What is the Trips & Giggles Club?

It is our membership club. Members get a lower price on day and evening trips and on mini breaks. Only one membership per person per year is allowed.

Discounts are not given on our summer or Easter line buses, on any event or trip with a ticketed entrance, or on concerts or cruises.

The membership discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, such as the loyalty card, gift vouchers or existing credit.

How do I use my membership when booking?

In the office, show your membership card to receive the members discount. If a non member is booking for members in a couple or group, they must give us the names and membership numbers so we can verify them before any discount is applied.

Online, book the members price and put your membership number in the members section of the booking form. If you are booking for several people and some are not members, use the members price for the members and the standard price for the others.

If everyone is booked under the members price when they should not be, the booking will be cancelled, the money refunded and it will need to be rebooked correctly.

How does the loyalty card work?

The loyalty card scheme is open to people aged 18 and over; no child places are included. The card has no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

If the card has a valid from and valid to date, it cannot be redeemed after the expiry date. In some cases, if the card is not complete, we may transfer the stamps to a new card if you ask within 2 weeks of the expiry, and the new card is then valid for 3 months.

How long is a gift voucher valid for?

Every voucher has a date of issue and is valid for 6 months from that date for Spanish residents, and 1 year from that date for non Spanish residents.

Vouchers are bought at either office with cash or card, must be paid for in full, and can be for any amount. To redeem one, the holder must come to an office to book, hand over the voucher and show ID matching the name on it.

A voucher cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be replaced if it is lost or damaged.

Cancellations, refunds and changes

Can I cancel and get my money back?

All ticket sales are final. You are not entitled to a refund if you decide you do not want to go, or cannot go for personal reasons or illness, less than 5 days before a day trip, 2 weeks before a mini break or 5 weeks before a cruise.

At our discretion we may offer a partial refund less an administration fee of €7.50 per person if the individual ticket price is over €20, or €5 per person if it is under €20; or we may transfer the cost against another trip, which can only be done once.

Any credit given is valid for 1 year for non-residents and 6 months for residents.

What if the trip includes a concert or theme park ticket?

For ticketed events such as concerts, theatre performances and water or theme park entrances, all payments and deposits are non-refundable once we have bought the ticket for you, even if you cancel more than 5 days before.

In some cases, if we can resell the ticket, a refund may be given less the booking fee of €7.50 per ticket.

How and when will a refund reach me?

We return money the way it was paid: cash for cash, card for card, and for website payments the refund goes back to the card used. Refund timescales run from after the scheduled date of the trip, not from when it was cancelled.

Card refunds are made as soon as possible but can take 10 to 15 working days in busy periods such as summer, Easter and Christmas. Where the money has to come from a booking agent or third party, it can take up to 15 working days or longer.

Card charges on the original transaction are never refunded, only the price of the ticket. If you paid in cash and want a cash refund, you must hand your ticket back to us when you ask for it.

What happens if you cancel the trip?

If we cancel or reschedule a trip for any reason, you are entitled to a full refund, or the cost can be transferred and used against other trips, subject to proof of payment.

If the event organiser cancels rather than us, the organiser is responsible for the refund. We will refund you once we have received the full refund from them, which can take from weeks to months and is out of our hands.

What if the weather looks bad?

We follow the weather conditions determined by the local or regional authorities. We will only refund if the event is cancelled by the authorities or by us.

You are not entitled to a refund simply because the weather may not be suitable, if the trip or event has not been cancelled.

On the day

What happens if I am late back to the coach?

You are responsible for making sure you and your party are back at the coach by the time stated in the itinerary, so the coach can leave on schedule.

If you miss the coach back and have to make your own transport arrangements, we are not liable to reimburse you for that transport.

If an event has police traffic control for coach pick-ups and we receive a fine because late customers held the coach up without good reason, we have the right to ask those customers to cover the cost of the fine.

Can I drink alcohol on the coach?

No. We have the right to refuse access to our coaches, or to remove people from them, for consuming alcohol, or for drunk, disorderly, offensive, verbally abusive or violent behaviour towards our staff or other customers.

Some trips, such as the Benidorm Fancy Dress Party, state this explicitly on their page.

Are the trips suitable if I have limited mobility?

It depends on the destination. Some towns have steep or cobbled streets and stairs. For example, the historic centre of Calpe involves a steep hill, and the old town of Altea has narrow, steep streets and stairs.

Each trip page has a "Good to know" section with any access notes. If you are unsure, please ask us before booking and we will tell you honestly what to expect.

What are your coaches like?

All of our coaches are fully air conditioned and heated, with built in WiFi and USB points, and we carry a first aid kit on board.

Our company holds a Responsible Tourism certificate with ozone disinfected air circulation on all coaches, and all our tours are accompanied by a professional member of staff.

The one exception is the summer line bus to the port, which is not accompanied by Taquilla Tickets.

Activities, airport buses and accommodation

How do the activities work? Do I pay you or the venue?

For land activities such as quad biking, river rafting, kayaking, archery and shooting, Taquilla Tickets take bookings only and you pay direct to the venue. Prices are discounted if you pay cash; the cash price is shown in brackets on each activity page.

For water sports we take bookings with a 50% deposit in cash and the balance is paid at the venue. Prices do not include transport to the venue or the port.

Credit card details are taken to secure land activity bookings in case of a no show, and you must show ID or a passport at the venue as proof of age.

How do I book an airport bus?

The airport shuttle must be booked in advance, before noon the day before the flight. You can book it on the Airport Buses website or come into our Condado or Camposol A office and we will book it for you.

Bring the UK airport, the date, the flight numbers, the drop-off location, the lead name, the number of adults and of children under 16, an email address, a mobile number and any additional requirements.

Taquilla Tickets are the booking agent only. After booking, Airport Buses email you the confirmation and ticket, and all further communication about pick-up and flight times is directly with them, although we can print your ticket in our offices.

Do you arrange accommodation?

For holiday accommodation on Condado we work with Sparkle Vacations, the original property management service on the resort. You can view their properties and book on their website.

Hotel stays for our mini breaks are included in the trip price; you book those with us.

When are your offices open?

The Condado office (Al Kasar Commercial Centre, inside the town hall offices) is open Monday to Friday 10:00 to 14:00 and 15:00 to 17:00 from September to June, closed at weekends, with WhatsApp available on Saturday 10:00 to 18:00. In July and August it opens Monday to Sunday 09:30 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 21:00, with phone and WhatsApp from 09:30 to 21:00.

The Camposol A office, next to Camposol Crafts, is open Monday to Friday 10:00 to 14:00 and closed at weekends.

We close when we are out taking trips; closures are posted on our Facebook page.
